Founded by brothers Finlay and Sean Watson, Watson Yacht Management brings together a lifetime on the water with extensive experience across yacht operations, engineering, project management and owner support.
From international yacht deliveries and global cruising to new-build commissioning and technical project management, their complementary expertise provides owners a knowledgeable and trusted team ashore. Together, they founded Watson Yachts to offer a personal, independent and highly experienced approach to yacht ownership.

Growing up sailing on the west coast of Scotland, Finlay then turned his water-based activities to rowing, representing Edinburgh Uni and Scotland, Whilst still sailing regularly with the family.
During the final years of university Finlay spent his summers doing yacht deliveries around the UK and the Med. Following his Engineering degree, he went on to study business in Paris and later got a job in London as a data analyst.
In 2021 Finlay left the finance world and went back to sea, running charters around the Caribbean, skippering an Oyster 675 around the world and taking delivery of a new Oyster 885.
Finlay now brings his experience in engineering, finance and time at sea into his role as a yacht manager. Giving him a diverse skill set to oversee the different areas of yacht management.

As keen racer Sean spent his childhood working his way through the dinghy world, starting with an Optimist he went on to competitively race RS200's and 400's before spending university summers racing yachts on the west of Scotland.
After completing his degree in Quantity Surveying, Sean continued his sailing career running charters and deliveries around the Mediterranean, Caribbean and South Africa.
Looking for a more shore-based career Sean moved to Southampton and joined the Oyster Yachts commissioning team. Shortly after Sean moved into the role of project manager, helping take owners through the build process and specifying the yacht to meet their cruising requirements.
During his career Sean developed a deep understanding of yacht manufacturing, onboard systems, client relations and life onboard.
